Graduate Program Information
The Master of Accountancy (MAcc) is a professional preparation program for those interesting in accounting careers. The graduate course work provides the necessary foundation for public and private accounting positions, as well as industry and government placement. Obtaining the master’s degree qualifies students to sit for the CPA and CMA Examinations, which is essential to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). A CPA and/or a CMA certified level accountant provides an expertise which will elicit credibility in relation to the analysis of quantitative data and government regulations. Learning foundational concepts, how to navigate in the financial system, and how to impart consultative guidance, is what the DSU graduate degree (and complimentary certifications) will provide. Additional certifications may also be obtained, such as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
